Director of Operations

About the role

The Director of Operations will lead the day‑to‑day performance of the Residence Inn by Marriott San Juan Isla Verde, ensuring guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and profitability across all rooms‑related functions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee Rooms operational departments including Front Office, Housekeeping and Laundry.
• Support Food & Beverage operations and coordinate events execution as needed.
• Act as Hotel Manager on Duty in the General Manager’s absence.
• Develop and implement strategic positioning of rooms operations to meet top‑line and bottom‑line goals.
• Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards and achieve Marriott scorecard targets.
• Conduct daily tours of operating departments, make adjustments with department heads, and lead weekly staff meetings and training sessions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing hotel rooms operations and related support functions.
• Ability to drive revenue‑generating initiatives and control costs.
• Strong knowledge of Marriott brand standards and performance metrics.
• Leadership capability to act as manager on duty and guide department heads.
