About the role

The Director of Online Admissions Operations leads and scales the institution’s online admissions function, ensuring prospective students receive a consistent, high‑quality experience from inquiry through enrollment. This senior position combines operational leadership, data‑driven strategy, and people management to drive enrollment growth across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day online admissions operations and execute enrollment strategies aligned with institutional goals.
• Design and implement plans to improve inquiry‑to‑application, application‑to‑enrollment, and enrollment‑to‑start conversion rates.
• Standardize admissions processes, workflows, service expectations, and operating procedures.
• Monitor the admissions funnel, identify bottlenecks, and optimize speed‑to‑lead, contact, appointment, and application completion metrics.
• Translate enrollment targets into actionable team goals, staffing plans, and performance metrics.
• Partner with senior leadership on enrollment forecasts, operational priorities, and scaling plans.
• Lead, coach, and develop admissions managers, supervisors, and representatives, establishing clear performance expectations.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, pipeline reviews, and training programs to enhance consultative admissions skills and CRM utilization.

Required profile

• Significant experience managing admissions or enrollment operations in higher education, preferably for online programs.
• Proven ability to lead large teams, set performance standards, and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to process optimization.
