Director Finance Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance Operations to lead Trustly’s global transaction processing teams. Reporting to the SVP of Finance, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end efficiency, accuracy and scalability of our financial transaction systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing finance operations team covering Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payments, Reconciliations and Employee Expenses.
• Drive process transformation initiatives to automate manual workflows and implement best‑practice operating models.
• Review, update and enforce operational policies and SOPs to maintain a strong internal control environment.
• Oversee billing and AR functions, ensuring timely invoicing, collections and merchant communications.
• Manage the Procure‑to‑Pay cycle, vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment execution and corporate credit‑card programme.
• Direct daily cash application, bank and payment‑processor reconciliations and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
• Monitor key performance indicators, analyse system data and continuously improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of progressive finance, accounting or related experience, with proven leadership of large finance operations teams.
• Strong track record of leading transformation projects and implementing automated finance solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with NetSuite ERP.
• Proficiency in finance tools such as Concur, Omnea and Zone Capture.
