Delivery Specialist

About the role

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for operating company vehicles to transport parts and products to professional customers safely and efficiently. The role also includes handling cash on collection‑on‑delivery (C.O.D.) orders, processing customer returns, and providing basic in‑store support when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers, ensuring safety and timeliness.
• Use handheld fleet‑management devices to record deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform daily inspections, and report any maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
• Secure keys, fuel cards, handheld devices, and any monies collected at all times.
• Pick up and process customer returns, including new items, warranty claims, and cores.
• Communicate special customer needs or problems to store management.
• Assist with additional store duties such as stocking, merchandising, sweeping, and occasional cashier duties.

Required profile

• Valid state driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
• Ability to accurately match alphanumeric sequences and handle cash transactions.
• Fluency in English; bilingual candidates, especially Spanish speakers, are encouraged to apply.

Required skills

• Operation of handheld delivery and fleet‑management devices.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is preferred.
• Ability to operate light store equipment.
