Data Extraction Manager – OpenData (Remote)

About the role

Veeva Systems is seeking a Data Extraction Manager to lead its OpenData EMEA team. The role focuses on overseeing website data crawling, ensuring high‑quality, up‑to‑date data for life‑science customers, and supporting analytical reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6‑8 data analysts, handling hiring, performance management, and workload planning.
• Configure and maintain web crawlers using Veeva’s toolchain and ensure seamless hand‑off to the data platform.
• Collaborate with product managers to prioritize extraction tasks and meet delivery timelines.
• Guarantee data freshness, accuracy, and availability for downstream analytics and reporting.
• Produce ad‑hoc reports and visual dashboards as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience leading a technical team.
• Strong grasp of software development best practices such as version control and code reviews.
• Hands‑on experience building robust, scalable web crawlers.
• Solid understanding of data structures, data models, and basic Python scripting.
