Data Engineer (English speaking)

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to join our team in Aveiro. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to turn complex data into valuable assets and enable cloud‑native, data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimise and maintain scalable data architectures.
• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines for multiple data sources.
• Analyse, transform and process large, complex datasets.
• Enable training and deployment of machine‑learning models.
• Develop real‑time data pipelines and support cloud migration initiatives.
• Share knowledge actively within the team and influence the adoption of new tools and methodologies.

Required profile

• Team‑player with strong attention to detail and documentation habits.
• Data‑driven decision maker who bases actions on metrics.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Python or Scala and SQL.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.
• Experience with semantic modelling and concepts such as Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Vault and Data Mart.
• Fluent English communication skills.
