Data Engineer – Azure & Microsoft Fabric (Telecom)

About the role

Design and implement scalable data pipelines and processing solutions using Azure and Microsoft Fabric for a telecom client.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes for large‑scale datasets.
• Work with Lakehouse (Medallion) architectures using Fabric or Azure Databricks.
• Integrate data from multiple sources via Azure Data Factory or Fabric pipelines.
• Build and maintain data models and Lakehouse structures in OneLake.
• Ensure data quality, reliability and performance across the platform.
• Optimise Spark workloads and transformations using PySpark and SQL.
• Collaborate with data architects, BI teams and data scientists to enable analytics.
• Support DataOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and data governance.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience as a Data Engineer.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure data services and Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong knowledge of PySpark / Spark SQL and large‑dataset SQL processing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DataOps tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub.
