Cybersecurity Operations Manager (Remote – Portugal)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Operations Manager to lead daily security activities for a client of Jobbex. The role is fully remote, based in Portugal, and offers the chance to shape the security posture of a dynamic organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily cybersecurity operations and ensure timely resolution of security requests.
• Manage and coordinate incident response, including investigation, containment, and recovery.
• Monitor, tune, and improve security tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and DLP solutions.
• Identify security gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Mentor and support the security operations team.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with security operations tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, etc.).
• Solid understanding of network, endpoint, and cloud security.
• Proven experience in incident response and threat investigation.
• At least 2 years of experience in a cybersecurity leadership role.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Professional proficiency in English.
