Cybersecurity Operations Manager (Remote – Portugal)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Operations Manager to lead daily security operations for a client of Jobbex, working remotely from Portugal. The role involves overseeing incident response, improving security tooling, and guiding a security operations team to protect the organization’s digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily cybersecurity operations and ensure timely resolution of security‑related requests.
• Manage and coordinate incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and recovery.
• Monitor, tune, and enhance security tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management and DLP solutions.
• Identify security gaps, drive continuous improvement initiatives and recommend risk mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate security risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Mentor and support the security operations team.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with security operations tools and technologies.
• Solid understanding of network, endpoint and cloud security.
• Proven experience in incident response and threat investigation.
• Minimum two years of experience in a cybersecurity leadership role.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Professional proficiency in English.
