Cybersecurity Analyst L2 (Blue Team)

About the role

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst L2 (Blue Team) to join Inetum’s security operations team in Funchal. The role focuses on security monitoring, threat detection and incident response, working autonomously to enhance our detection capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor compliance with cybersecurity operation SLAs.
• Create, develop and optimise detection use cases within SIEM platforms.
• Govern the full lifecycle of use cases from requirements gathering to continuous improvement.
• Analyse security events and alerts to identify potential threats.
• Participate in proactive threat‑hunting activities.
• Support vulnerability analysis, tracking and remediation efforts.
• Investigate security incidents and define corrective and preventive actions.
• Produce technical documentation and activity reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective security processes.

Required profile

• More than 2 years of professional experience in Cybersecurity Operations or SOC Level 2 within a Blue Team environment.
• High level of autonomy and decision‑making capability.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and critical thinking.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel) – rule creation, event correlation and use‑case development.
• Log analysis and incident investigation.
• Security monitoring and threat‑hunting.
• Vulnerability management and remediation tracking.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
