Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen our clients’ cloud and application security posture. You will work closely with development, DevOps and security teams to identify, remediate and prevent vulnerabilities across our portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in applications and infrastructure using tools such as Prisma Cloud, Snyk and Wiz.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps and security teams to embed secure practices and improve overall security posture.
• Monitor, investigate and respond to security alerts and incidents.
• Conduct threat analysis, vulnerability assessments and recommend improvements.
• Integrate security controls and automated checks into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
• Lead vulnerability management processes and optimise security tooling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of IT security experience, preferably in software development.
• Hands‑on experience with CSPM (Prisma Cloud, Wiz) and application security tools (Snyk – SCA, SAST, DAST).
• Knowledge of secure SDLC, DevSecOps and major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, IAM, container security).
• Experience in vulnerability management, threat modelling and web hardening.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell).
• EU citizenship or Portuguese work visa/residency and ability to attend the office 1‑2 days per week.
