Cyber Security Consultant (Hybrid, Porto)

About the role

Closer Consulting, a data‑science company specializing in Business Intelligence and AI, is looking for a Cyber Security Consultant to join its hybrid team in Porto. You will help embed security throughout the software development lifecycle, perform vulnerability scans, and work closely with development teams to mitigate risks.

Key responsibilities

• Support deployment of code analysis and dependency management solutions.
• Implement and maintain Secure SDLC processes.
• Conduct security scans (SAST, SCA, DAST/WAS) and assess vulnerabilities from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with developers to identify and remediate security issues.
• Participate in security‑control implementation, performance measurement, and reporting.
• Follow up on remediation activities to ensure timely compliance.
• Contribute to the Application Security community through awareness initiatives and best‑practice sharing.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT risk and cyber security.
• Strong understanding of application security principles and OWASP Top 10.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• SAST, SCA, DAST/WAS scanning tools.
• Qualys, Fortify, Nexus IQ.
• Kubernetes.
• Python scripting for automating vulnerability management.
• Java, Angular, REST APIs.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 risks.
