Controller Team Lead – Finance Management

About the role

Tiko, an African nonprofit focused on adolescent girls' health, is seeking a Controller Team Lead to oversee the end‑to‑end finance process across its entities. This senior position will ensure accurate consolidation, reporting, and budgeting while leading a dedicated finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of the finance team and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes for all Tiko entities in line with SOPs.
• Execute internal controls, checks and balances to guarantee reliable consolidated financial statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and monitor the completeness of local books of accounts.
• Maintain, develop and monitor the Annual Operating Budget, reviewing and adjusting budgets as needed.
• Participate in cross‑team projects, providing financial insight and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing the full finance cycle and leading finance teams.
• Strong understanding of consolidation, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining high accuracy.
• Excellent analytical mindset with attention to detail.
