Construction Project Engineer

About the role

The Construction Project Engineer will own the job site from mobilization through closeout, acting as the primary liaison between the owner, architect, and field team. This full‑time position supports healthcare, commercial, and institutional projects across Puerto Rico.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily field crews (20+ personnel) and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestone adherence.
• Lead project meetings with owners, architects, and engineers.
• Manage payroll tracking, daily logs, RFIs, and submittals.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and cost estimates for scopes and change orders.
• Enforce quality standards and ensure OSHA compliance on site.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on construction project management or field engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Puerto Rico.
• Availability for early starts (6:00 AM), extended days, and Saturdays.
• Strong leadership and professional communication skills.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret full construction drawings.
• Familiarity with Procore.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam.
• Experience with AI productivity tools.
