Client Accounting Specialist – Financial Liaison

About the role

The Client Accounting Specialist acts as the primary financial liaison for TLS’s U.S.-based clients, overseeing end‑to‑end procurement accounting and delivering clear financial reporting. You will advise clients on budgets, monitor spend, and ensure the integrity of all accounting operations while supporting the finance department’s broader activities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for client billing inquiries and financial documentation.
• Manage the full procurement cycle, including three‑way match, vendor payments, and invoice prioritisation.
• Maintain organized financial records, support month‑end closing, and prepare subsidiary ledger reconciliations.
• Lead quarterly financial review meetings and provide clear explanations of spend, burn rates, and forecasts.
• Onboard and train new clients on TLS accounting timelines, processes, and procedures.
• Alert management to non‑compliance issues and changes in client operations.
• Bill and collect professional fees, including design phase fees.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of U.S. client business operations and procurement accounting.
• Professional communication skills for interacting with diverse client audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
