Chefe de Receção – Occidental Faro

About the role

The Reception Manager will lead the daily front‑desk operations at the Occidental Faro hotel, ensuring seamless guest experiences and efficient administrative processes. This position combines team leadership, operational oversight, and close collaboration with other hotel departments.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all daily reception activities, including check‑in, check‑out and reservation handling.
• Guarantee guest satisfaction by responding promptly to requests and resolving complaints.
• Recruit, train, motivate and manage the reception team to maintain high service standards.
• Control reservations and ensure accurate and efficient processing using the Opera Cloud system.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, food & beverage, and other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
• Manage and continuously improve administrative processes related to the front desk.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar role within a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel.
• Fluent written and spoken Portuguese and English.
• Strong leadership, organizational abilities and a customer‑focused mindset.
• High sense of responsibility, problem‑solving skills and resilience under pressure.
• Attention to detail and flexibility to work varied schedules.

Required skills

• Opera Cloud (hotel management system) – mandatory.
