Business Development Representative

About the role

Sovos is seeking a Business Development Representative to generate market demand for its compliance solutions. In this high‑energy position you will engage prospective customers, uncover opportunities, and create qualified leads for the sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop sales opportunities with prospective customers, meeting daily, weekly and monthly activity targets.
• Qualify inbound leads and use AI tools to deliver high‑quality opportunities to Account Executives.
• Partner with Account Executives to create and execute territory plans, managing multiple priorities.
• Follow a formalised business development process, adapting approaches for mid‑level and executive contacts.
• Recommend improvements to development strategies, processes, documents and tools based on data insights and AI‑assisted workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 0‑12 months of successful experience as a Business Development Representative or comparable role, with a proven record of meeting quotas.
• Strong team player with collaborative mindset.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
