Business Data Manager – Operations

About the role

Elementis is seeking a Business Data Manager – Operations to lead the delivery of high‑quality analytical insights across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Data and Business Intelligence, you will manage a team of analysts and work closely with business stakeholders to turn data into actionable decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and coordinate a team of analysts across multiple business units.
• Allocate workload, balancing day‑to‑day activities with strategic initiatives.
• Act as primary liaison for stakeholders, translating business needs into analytical requirements.
• Communicate insights clearly to senior leaders, ensuring data‑driven decision‑making.
• Promote best practices in data analysis, dashboard design and stakeholder engagement.
• Govern reporting demand, prioritising requests and avoiding duplication.
• Oversee development, testing and release of dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with data architecture, governance and technical teams to maintain trusted data foundations.
• Support resolution of data issues and platform incidents with business context.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Management or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in procurement and manufacturing environments.
• Proven track record in team leadership and operational management.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
