Business Analyst – Tax Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong tax expertise to join our team in Portugal. The role focuses on translating business needs into functional specifications, supporting IT development, and ensuring successful delivery of tax‑related projects.

Key responsibilities

• Formalise requirements and manage the change‑request cycle using best‑practice BA techniques.
• Provide expert tax knowledge throughout pre‑analysis, requirement validation and functional testing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify, analyse and challenge expressed needs.
• Guide IT developers with functional expertise and support user acceptance testing.
• Follow project phases, respect workflows, planning, deadlines and maintain clear reporting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Management, Tax or Law.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the financial industry, focusing on tax activities.
• Proven experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience working with relational databases, preferably SQL.
• Strong overall IT knowledge; familiarity with custody systems is a plus.
