Business Analyst - Pharma & Healthcare Consulting

About the role

IQVIA is looking for dedicated Business Analysts to join its Portuguese Strategy Consulting team, which supports pharmaceutical companies and healthcare providers on commercial opportunities in healthcare. Projects cover commercial excellence, go-to-market and launch strategies, portfolio optimisation and patient pathway analysis, using IQVIA's information assets. The role is based in Oeiras, Lisbon, on a permanent hybrid basis (2 days per week in the office).

Key responsibilities

• Assist, under direct supervision, in designing, developing and delivering consulting projects or parts of larger ones.
• Help develop detailed documentation and specifications.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses, under close supervision, to support recommendations and client-specific solutions.
• Help design presentations suited to the audience's needs.
• Build a basic knowledge of consulting methodologies and the life sciences market through engagements and learning opportunities.
• Develop deep knowledge of IQVIA data sources.

Required profile

• MSc degree, preferably in Biomedical/Clinical Engineering, Economics, Business, Pharmaceutical Science or similar, with a strong academic record.
• 1-2 years of professional experience in consulting or pharma-related organisations is preferable.
• Fluent Portuguese and English.
• Genuine interest in healthcare and pharma, willingness to learn quickly, teamwork and effective time management.

Required skills

• Knowledge of business processes and the marketplace, and of consulting methods, tools and techniques.
• Understanding of industry trends, competitors and trade associations.
