Bilingual Pharmacy Technician – Sign-on Bonus $800

About the role

Optum is seeking a bilingual Pharmacy Technician to join its Puerto Rico operations. You will work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment handling prior authorizations, member and provider calls, and providing accurate medication and clinical information.

Key responsibilities

• Receive inbound calls from members and providers and conduct outbound follow‑up calls as needed.
• Process prior authorizations using multiple computer systems, ensuring data accuracy.
• Apply benefit plan criteria to make approval, denial, or recommendation decisions.
• Provide members with general benefit information and answer medication‑related questions.
• Collaborate with team members to gather additional information and interpret clinical guidelines.

Required profile

• Valid, unrestricted Puerto Rico Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board credential.
• Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish (English proficiency assessment required).
• Strong computer literacy with ability to navigate and learn complex Windows‑based applications.
• Availability for an 8‑week on‑site training program and ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday.
