Backend QA Engineer

About the role

Air Apps is looking for a Backend QA Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of its backend systems. You will focus on testing APIs, databases, and services while working closely with engineers in a fast‑paced, onsite environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute tests for APIs, databases, and service integrations.
• Validate API functionality and performance using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Test and verify PostgreSQL queries and data integrity.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to review pull requests and ensure code quality.
• Develop and maintain automated backend tests and contribute to test management using TestRail.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience with backend technologies, testing, or software development in test roles.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and ability to work cross‑functionally.

• Node.js
• TypeScript
• PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases)
• REST API testing (Postman, Swagger)
• Test management tools (TestRail)
