Backend Engineer – Python

About the role

SplitMetrics is looking for a Backend Engineer to join the Acquire engineering team. You will help design and build high‑load, data‑intensive systems that process hundreds of millions of records daily, supporting a global mobile‑marketing ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale Python‑based backend services and micro‑services.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, integration layers, and analytics workflows handling 200‑400 M records per day.
• Optimize PostgreSQL performance and manage async task queues (Celery, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Ensure system reliability, security, and performance through monitoring and best‑practice engineering.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software development experience with Python.
• Hands‑on experience with Django or FastAPI web frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL performance tuning.
• Experience with async task processing (Celery, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Proven ability to design micro‑service architectures and make business‑impactful decisions.
