Backend Developer – Network Automation

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Developer specialized in network automation to design and deliver scalable backend services, automation workflows, and integration tools that support our network operations. The role is based in Lisbon and follows a hybrid working model, requiring the candidate to reside in Portugal.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend automation solutions using Python, Django, and orchestration platforms such as Prefect or Airflow.
• Build and maintain integrations with network source-of-truth systems like Nautobot or NetBox.
• Design, implement, and optimise REST APIs and automation pipelines following DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend teams and network engineers, contributing to full-stack features when needed.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerised environments using Docker.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Python and solid experience with Django.
• Hands-on knowledge of orchestration tools (Prefect or Airflow) and CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and containerisation.
• Experience working with REST APIs and modern frontend technologies.
