Automotive Technician B – Service & Repair

About the role

The Automotive Technician B is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems while delivering a high‑quality customer experience. The role involves explaining technical issues to both coworkers and customers and staying current with evolving automotive technology.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling, suspension, and alignment systems to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance services on all vehicle types.
• Communicate technical diagnoses and recommended repairs clearly to non‑technical staff and customers.
• Continuously update technical knowledge through formal training.
• Assist and mentor fellow technicians in complex repairs.
• Report emerging repair issues to store management promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on automotive mechanical diagnosis and repair experience.
• Preferred: 2+ ASE certifications (A4 Steering & Suspension, A5 Brakes) and Section 609 certification.
• State inspection license preferred, if applicable.
• Valid driver’s license and clean background check.
• Willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
