Automotive Technician B – Service & Repair

About the role

The Automotive Technician B is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems while delivering excellent customer service. You will work in a busy shop environment, explain technical issues to customers and colleagues, and continuously update your knowledge of evolving automotive technology.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling, suspension, and alignment systems.
• Perform all scheduled maintenance services according to specifications.
• Explain technical diagnoses and repair recommendations to non‑technical staff and customers.
• Assist fellow technicians with complex tasks and share knowledge.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Report mechanical issues to store management promptly.
• Follow all company policies, safety, and environmental procedures.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on automotive mechanical diagnosis and repair experience.
• At least two ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering & Suspension, A5 Brakes).
• Section 609 certification and state inspection license preferred, if applicable.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
