Audit Control Analyst – Banking Sector

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Control Analyst to join our Financial Control & Data Analytics team within an international Corporate & Investment Banking environment. The role focuses on strengthening accounting controls, ensuring data integrity, and supporting key regulatory and reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analytical reviews and accounting controls within a LoD 1.2 framework.
• Reconcile accounting and inventory positions, including off‑balance‑sheet exposures.
• Analyse discrepancies between IFRS and local GAAP reporting.
• Monitor valuation controls on unrealised P&L.
• Produce audit trails and support thematic reviews.
• Develop and enhance control frameworks for specific banking activities and hedging processes.
• Collaborate with international stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

Required profile

• Previous audit experience in the banking sector (mandatory/preferred).
• Strong understanding of financial products such as equities, bonds, loans, derivatives, repos, and commodities.
• Knowledge of IFRS standards and banking accounting processes.
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.
