Associate Medical Director – Neurology

About the role

The Associate Medical Director – Neurology will provide medical leadership and expertise for clinical trials and safety evaluation within Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Pharmacovigilance department. You will work closely with study teams to ensure scientific rigor, patient safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the trial lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of clinical trial protocols, incorporating the latest scientific information.
• Participate in site selection, review and approval of study documents such as CSRs, ICFs, CRFs, and protocol amendments.
• Conduct real‑time medical monitoring of studies, validating primary endpoints and ensuring subject safety.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the sponsor and internal Thermo Fisher departments across all study phases.
• Educate investigator sites through protocol‑specific presentations and demonstrations.
• Address day‑to‑day trial issues, respond to investigator queries, and support IRBs and health authorities.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GCP, and all relevant medical regulations.

Required profile

• Medical degree with extensive experience in clinical trial conduct and pharmacovigilance.
• Proven ability to provide medical leadership to multidisciplinary study teams.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with investigators, IRBs, health authorities, and internal stakeholders.
• Experience in preparing and presenting materials to executive and safety committees.
