Architect – Design & Technical Expertise

About the role

MASSLAB is seeking an Architect to join its Porto office. You will turn creative concepts into built environments, contributing to projects that range from local interventions to international landmarks. The role blends strong design sensibility with technical rigor, supporting the firm’s mission to shape hopeful, future‑focused experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts from initial idea through licensing and detailed design.
• Create 2D and 3D visualisations that communicate design intent.
• Translate conceptual sketches into technical documentation ready for construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design quality and project deadlines.
• Maintain graphic excellence and uphold high standards of detail throughout all project phases.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience across concept, licensing and detail design.
• Strong conceptual and design abilities in both 2D and 3D.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
• Proactive, motivated and able to work independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit (BIM) – highly valued.
• Advanced competency with graphic and design software.
