Application Production Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Application Production Support Engineer to ensure the stability, reliability and continuous improvement of critical banking applications in a hybrid production environment. You will work closely with operations and development teams, driving automation and cloud initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts for provisioning, configuration and deployments.
• Containerize legacy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Participate in infrastructure automation projects and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Design and implement cloud‑based environments and support operations teams on best practices.
• Handle production incidents, service requests and L1/L2 support, including shift‑based and on‑call rotations.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure with Dynatrace, support disaster‑recovery activities and contribute to service‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in demanding IT Operations or Software Engineering environments.
• Passion for production support, automation and cloud technologies.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a reliability‑focused team.

Required skills

• Linux command‑line expertise.
• Scripting in Python and/or Bash.
• Infrastructure automation tools: Ansible, Terraform.
• Containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Travis, Concourse.
• Databases and monitoring: PL/SQL, Dynatrace.
• Cloud platforms: IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure.
• Experience with configuration, deployment, DR and production support in a banking environment.
