Android Developer (Native Mobile Engineer)

About the role

We are seeking a talented Android Engineer to shape the native Android experience for BJAK's AI‑powered Neobank app. You will work on a fast‑growing fintech platform that serves millions across Southeast Asia, delivering clean user flows, high performance, and reliable mobile features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship native Android features for onboarding, accounts, cards, payments, transfers, rewards and AI‑assisted journeys.
• Transform complex financial processes into simple, fast, and reliable mobile experiences.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, backend and AI engineers from concept to production.
• Own app quality, including performance, crash rates, loading states, edge‑case handling and release stability.
• Leverage production feedback, analytics and user behavior to continuously improve shipped features.
• Integrate APIs, authentication, secure data handling and financial workflows with a focus on reliability.

Required profile

• Strong native Android experience using Kotlin.
• Proven track record of shipping Android apps used by real users.
• Deep understanding of Android architecture, Jetpack, Coroutines and Flow.
• Strong product sense and attention to UX beyond just screens.
• Ability to debug production issues and enhance performance, reliability and overall app quality.
• Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast‑moving startup environment.
