Android Developer – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract (Remote, Portugal)

About the role

We are seeking an Android Developer to join a digital health company on a six‑month fixed‑term contract starting July 2026. The role is fully remote, but candidates must be based in Portugal. You will work in a fast‑paced, product‑driven environment, contributing to telemedicine solutions that connect patients with healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using modern practices.
• Build clean, scalable, and maintainable mobile solutions with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Implement MVVM or Clean Architecture patterns and use Coroutines and Flow for reactive programming.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality features.
• Balance rapid iteration with long‑term code quality and maintainability.
• Contribute to testing, performance optimisation, and continuous improvement.
• Support experimentation initiatives such as A/B testing when applicable.

Required profile

• Solid professional experience as an Android Developer, preferably at mid‑to‑senior level.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Pragmatic mindset with the ability to balance quick wins and code‑quality trade‑offs.
• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation is a plus.
• Previous work in health‑tech or regulated environments is desirable but not mandatory.
