Airport Duty Manager

About the role

The Airport Duty Manager leads daily ground‑handling operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high‑quality customer service for JetBlue flights. This position oversees ticket counters, gates, and related supervisory staff while acting as the primary liaison for operational issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage shift operations, including payroll, staffing, scheduling, and safety compliance.
• Monitor and meet operational performance targets for flight handling.
• Oversee TSA inline baggage screening and ensure timely baggage processing.
• Resolve crew and passenger issues promptly.
• Participate in ad‑hoc committees to develop or revise policies and procedures.
• Maintain business partner relationships and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support crew development, engagement, and goal achievement.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least five years of related experience, including three years in a Part 121 airline environment.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, holidays, and weekends.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a SIDA badge.

Required skills

• Proficiency with handheld radios and microphones for operational communication.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Services and company‑specific software applications.
