AI/Data Engineer (French speaking)

About the role

Aubay Portugal is seeking an experienced AI/Data Engineer to lead end‑to‑end AI use cases, from model development to production deployment and operational management. The role is based in Lisbon with a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and industrialise AI models, ensuring robust production deployment and monitoring.
• Implement AI solutions on AWS services such as S3, SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, API Gateway and OpenSearch.
• Maintain DevOps/MLOps pipelines using GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow, Artifactory, MLflow and related tools.
• Collaborate with banking domain experts to tailor AI use cases for financial services.
• Stay up‑to‑date with research, evaluate new models, and integrate generative AI techniques (RAG, fine‑tuning, CoT, ReAct, TAO).

Required profile

• Native or C1‑level proficiency in French.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on AI experience, preferably in banking or investment banking.
• Strong command of Python and familiarity with JavaScript frameworks and SQL.
• Proven experience with AWS AI/ML services and MLOps orchestration.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and read research papers.
• Willingness to work hybrid (2‑3 days per week in the Lisbon office).
