AI Data Scientist

About the role

Aubay Portugal is seeking an experienced AI Data Scientist to lead end‑to‑end machine‑learning projects for its diverse portfolio of clients across banking, insurance, automotive, aviation, telecom and energy. You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to turn data into actionable AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy full‑cycle data‑science pipelines, from data understanding to model production.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Implement and maintain MLOps workflows using tools such as MLflow or Databricks.
• Integrate Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering, into client solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure code quality, version control, CI/CD and unit testing.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data‑science or machine‑learning projects.
• Strong command of Python and its data‑science ecosystem.
• Proficiency in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Fluent English (CEFR C level) – both written and spoken.
