AI Cyber Defense Engineer - Emerging Risks

About the role

The AI Cyber Defense Engineer – Emerging Risks will design, build, test and continuously improve AI‑driven cyber‑defense capabilities. You will focus on real‑time threat detection, prevention, response and remediation while ensuring solutions are resilient, explainable and aligned with enterprise risk objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test and implement AI‑enabled defense mechanisms across prevention, detection, response and remediation.
• Evaluate emerging AI/ML, automation and analytics tools for practical cybersecurity use cases.
• Assess how adversaries may leverage AI for reconnaissance, vulnerability discovery, malware generation and evasion.
• Develop defensive AI use cases that enhance threat detection, anomaly analysis, attack‑path mapping and incident triage.
• Contribute to the organization’s strategy for emerging risks such as autonomous agents, quantum threats and supply‑chain compromises.
• Analyze security telemetry, threat intelligence, endpoint and network data to strengthen detection logic, alerting rules, hunting queries and response playbooks.
• Use AI and automation to identify, prioritize and remediate high‑risk exposures, misconfigurations and vulnerabilities, correlating findings with asset criticality and regulatory relevance.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with adversarial thinking.
• Experience operationalizing AI/ML solutions in security environments.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, risk and operations teams.
