Accounts Receivable Specialist – French Speaker

About the role

ALTEN is building a new Shared Services Center in Porto to support its European growth. The team is looking for a French‑speaking Accounts Receivable professional to manage customer and bank accounting, support reporting, and collaborate with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Enter received payments and perform daily bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile customer accounts, monitor outstanding credits/debits and suspense accounts.
• Track intercompany financial transfers and collections.
• Analyse discrepancies, support closing processes and audits.
• Work closely with accounting, treasury, sales and collections departments.
• Contribute to process optimisation and scope reorganisation.

Required profile

• BSc degree in accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounts‑receivable role.
• Fluent in French and good command of English.
• Rigorous, dynamic and strong analytical mindset.
• Effective written and oral communicator, diplomatic and able to interact with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
