Accounts Payable Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Team Lead to oversee our AP function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time. The role will coordinate a team of AP professionals, drive process improvements, and support the company’s financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the accounts payable team, assign tasks and monitor deadlines.
• Provide guidance, training and mentorship to enhance team productivity.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payment batches.
• Review and approve invoices, monitor payment terms and guarantee payments within agreed timelines.
• Collaborate with purchasing and procurement to resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee reconciliation of AP transactions and promptly address any variances.
• Maintain records in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Prepare regular reports such as aging, cash‑flow forecasts and payment status updates.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of accounts payable experience, including 1‑2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Fluency in English for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Accounts payable processing and invoice validation.
• Payment reconciliation and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Use of accounting software and ERP systems (as applicable).
