Senior Procurement Consultant (m/f/d) – Porto

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Consultant to join our Porto team. You will work directly with clients to develop and implement cost‑optimisation solutions across a range of categories, using levers such as tendering, negotiations, make‑or‑buy decisions and digital tools. The role combines strategic analysis with hands‑on execution to lift client procurement functions to the next level.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver value‑creation plans that include cost‑reduction measures, product‑group optimisation and supplier scouting.
• Conduct maturity assessments of procurement organisations, identify improvement actions and co‑create road‑maps with clients.
• Lead tender preparation, supplier negotiations and support make‑or‑buy decisions.
• Facilitate workshops, discuss optimisation opportunities and develop implementation plans together with client teams.
• Support transformation initiatives, change‑management activities and the rollout of target operating models, including processes, roles, digital solutions and sustainability considerations.

Required profile

• University degree and at least two years of experience in procurement‑focused management consulting or in the procurement function of an international, market‑leading company.
• Strong understanding of category management, category strategy, material cost reduction and supplier negotiations.
• Experience with procurement target operating models, digitisation, sustainability or resilience is a plus.
• Fluency in English (C1 level); German language skills are an advantage.
