About the role

Sonae Sierra is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its SSC – Accounting team in Lisbon. The role focuses on statutory reporting, monthly closings and accounting operations for group companies and third‑party shopping centre owners.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure accounting and statutory reporting under IFRS and local GAAP (SNC).
  • Perform monthly closing for Sonae Sierra group companies and third‑party service providers.
  • Post invoices, manage accruals and deferrals, and execute various closing operations.
  • Analyse trial balances and control related accounts.
  • Prepare consolidation packages and produce annual statutory accounts, including the IES (Simplified Corporate Information).

Required profile

  • Degree in Accounting or Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting or auditing.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese.
  • Strong analytical thinking and high level of accuracy.

Required skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with SAP (preferred).
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
