About the role
We are looking for a new member for the SSC – Accounting team to join Sonae Sierra as a Technician, Accounting. The position is based at our Central Offices in Lisbon and supports the accounting and statutory reporting of group companies and third‑party shopping centre owners.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure accounting and statutory reporting under IFRS and local GAAP (SNC) for Sonae Sierra group companies and third‑party entities.
- Perform monthly closing activities, including posting invoices, accruals, deferrals and trial‑balance analysis.
- Prepare consolidation packages, annual statutory accounts and the Simplified Corporate Information (IES) report.
- Control and analyse trial balances and related accounts to guarantee accuracy.
Required profile
- Degree in Accounting or Management with at least five years of experience in accounting or auditing.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese.
- Strong analytical thinking and high level of accuracy.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory).
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of SAP (preferred).
