Accountant – IFRS, Tax & Treasury

About the role

As an Accountant at SBM Offshore you will manage accounting activities for local and international entities, applying IFRS and local GAAP. The position involves significant interaction with tax and treasury functions, supporting the company’s transition to a sustainable blue economy.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure group accounting policies are applied and internal control procedures are followed.
• Perform daily bookkeeping, invoice management and vendor support (P2P).
• Execute monthly closing tasks, prepare and review monthly packages for partners.
• Analyze balance‑sheet data at consolidation level, produce IFRS and directional reports.
• Participate in contract analysis and provide audit packages to external auditors.
• Support semi‑annual and annual tax reporting and prepare financial statements for assigned entities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and tools.

Required profile

• Business school or finance/accounting degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, audit or a related environment.
• Knowledge of IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 37 and statutory accounting in an international context.
• Familiarity with tax requirements and internal‑control frameworks.
