Accountant – IFRS & Tax Specialist

About the role

Join SBM Offshore as an Accountant responsible for accounting for local and international entities under IFRS and local GAAP, with a strong focus on tax and treasury activities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure Group accounting policies are applied and internal control procedures are followed.
• Participate in continuous improvement of accounting processes and tools.
• Execute monthly closing tasks, prepare and review monthly packages for partners.
• Analyze balance‑sheet data at consolidation level and support IFRS and directional reporting.
• Assist in contract analysis and manage related legal documents.
• Prepare audit packages, liaise with external auditors and handle ad‑hoc audit missions.
• Support tax reporting and the preparation of financial statements for assigned entities.

Required profile

• Business school or finance/accounting degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role or at an audit firm.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 37 and international statutory accounting and tax requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
• Experience with audit processes and internal control frameworks.
