Accountant – Group Accounting & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to join our client’s finance team in the Porto area. The role focuses on group accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting in an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply group accounting policies and internal control procedures (IcoFr framework).
• Perform monthly closing tasks and prepare monthly packages for partners.
• Analyse balance‑sheet data at consolidation level, IFRS, and directional reporting.
• Participate in contract analysis and related legal documentation.
• Prepare audit packages, liaise with external auditors, and handle ad‑hoc audit missions.
• Prepare tax packages in cooperation with the Tax Manager and support tax reporting.
• Produce financial statements for assigned entities, including audit and filing.

Required profile

• Business school or finance/accounting degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or an audit firm.
• Fluency in English for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

What we offer

• Initial fixed‑term contract until year‑end, with strong possibility of permanent employment.
• Salary €1,800 – €2,400 per month (based on experience).
