Transport Optimizer – Logistics Planner

About the role

Nestlé is seeking a Transport Optimizer to drive transportation efficiency across its supply chain in Portugal. You will create optimal transportation plans, improve vehicle utilization, and ensure freight costs are minimized while meeting customer service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Generate optimal transportation plans that respect network and customer service requirements.
• Identify and implement load‑consolidation and vehicle‑utilization opportunities.
• Collaborate with warehouses, carriers and other supply‑chain stakeholders to coordinate deliveries.
• Monitor performance indicators, analyse deviations and apply corrective actions.
• Lead continuous‑improvement and sustainability initiatives within logistics operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transport planning, logistics or supply‑chain operations.
• Understanding of end‑to‑end supply‑chain processes.
• Fluency in Spanish (mandatory) and English (nice to have).
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
