Team Lead – DevOps Engineer for Unite Services

About the role

Intermedia is seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to lead the Unite Services and Unite Integrations platforms. The role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to the Coimbra office, and will oversee reliability, security, and operational efficiency of multi‑region Kubernetes clusters and associated services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a small DevOps engineering team supporting Unite Services and Integrations.
• Define and execute quarterly OKRs focused on operational efficiency, security, reliability and platform maturity.
• Own production deployments, release processes and disaster‑recovery procedures for backend services.
• Provide technical mentorship on Kubernetes, GitHub‑centric CI/CD, GitOps and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Engineering, SRE, Security and Operations on roadmap planning and incident resolution.
• Maintain critical shared infrastructure such as Redis, Harbor, Consul, Chart Museum and API Gateway.

Required profile

• Located in Portugal and able to attend the Coimbra office when needed.
• Proven experience leading a DevOps or engineering team.
• Strong background in building and operating multi‑region Kubernetes environments.
• Hands‑on expertise with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and GitOps practices.
• Solid understanding of security hardening and disaster‑recovery strategies.
