Talend Developer

About the role

Cross Border Talents is recruiting a Talend Developer for its client in Lisbon, Portugal. The client is part of a group of top insurance and asset management companies active worldwide and is looking for a full-time position based in the Lisbon office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and document Talend ETL processes, technical architecture, data pipelines and performance scaling.
• Map data objects in workflow scripts to MS SQL Server (re-post SQL).
• Create data mappings that implement business logic to load data from source to target repository.
• Communicate with business customers about issues and requirements, and support data models, data flow diagrams and database design.
• Drive test planning, design and execution, including performance and stress testing, and maintain quality test automation for client and server systems.
• Ensure data quality, data integration, application integration, data management and big data.
• Write and administer ETL jobs to extract data from multiple sources and load it into data marts.
• Manage technology in projects and provide technical guidance and solutions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience with Talend.
• Strong experience building data pipelines to store, prepare and process data.
• Strong experience building data quality processes.
• Very good data modelling skills.
• Experience preparing data for prescriptive and predictive modelling.
• Good experience with data acquisition and retention strategies.
