System Administrator – Windows & AD

About the role

We are looking for an experienced System Administrator to manage and support our Windows Server environment, with a strong focus on Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365. You will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of critical infrastructure while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support Windows Server environments, emphasizing Active Directory.
• Manage AD objects such as users, groups, computers, GPOs and permissions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AD, DNS, DHCP and authentication services.
• Administer Microsoft Exchange (online and on‑premises) and Office 365 environments.
• Ensure system availability, performance, security and compliance with internal standards.
• Perform regular updates, patching, backups and recovery tests.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and support teams on operations and projects.
• Document configurations, procedures and operational processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Windows System Administrator with hands‑on AD management.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, AD, GPOs, DNS, DHCP and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Experience administering Microsoft Exchange and Office 365, including Exchange Online and Hybrid setups.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in structured environments following documented procedures.
• EU citizenship or Portuguese work visa/residency.
• Willingness to work on‑site two to three days per week.
• Additional knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS is a plus.
