System Administrator – Linux (Mid‑Senior)

About the role

KCS IT is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our hybrid team. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing Linux infrastructure, supporting Cloudera platforms, and ensuring high‑availability of distributed systems.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Maintain and support Cloudera platforms in production.
• Manage Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, YARN, Kafka, NiFi, Flume).
• Provide L3 infrastructure support and troubleshoot distributed systems.
• Perform cluster patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Implement automation using Python and Ansible.
• Handle Kerberos authentication and manage security tools such as Apache Ranger or Sentry.
• Work with storage technologies (SAN/NAS) and Linux networking concepts.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of RHEL and Cloudera production environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools.
• Proven ability to provide L3 support and resolve complex issues.
• Fluent English (C1) and Portuguese (B2) communication skills.
