System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced System Administrator to join our IT team in Portugal. You will be responsible for maintaining Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange/Office 365 services while ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support Windows Server and Active Directory infrastructure.
• Manage AD objects, GPOs, DNS, DHCP and authentication services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AD, DNS, DHCP and authentication.
• Administer Microsoft Exchange (online and/or on‑prem) and Office 365 environments.
• Perform system updates, patching, backups and recovery tests.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and support teams on operations and projects.
• Document configurations, procedures and operational processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Windows System Administrator with strong AD management.
• EU citizenship or Portuguese work visa/residency.
• Availability to work on‑site two to three times per week.
• Good communication skills for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP.
• PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Microsoft Exchange (Exchange Online, Hybrid) and Office 365.
• Mail flow, security and compliance features.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
